6900-20X is a paste-like thixotropic additive composed of polyamide wax refined through proprietary technology. It has been effectively activated by solvents and can be incorporated into various solvent-based coating formulations. Within paint systems, it forms a robust network structure. Its outstanding thixotropic properties deliver exceptional anti-sagging, anti-settling, and excellent dispersion characteristics. Manufactured in South Korea.

Features
Excellent and long-lasting thixotropy with anti-sagging and anti-settling properties. Pre-activated for immediate use without heating; simply stir and disperse before adding to coating systems. Free of coarse particles or granules with outstanding stability. Delivers superior performance across diverse resin and solvent systems.
Addition Method:
Suitable for coatings using common solvent systems such as xylene, toluene, and butyl acetate. However, certain low-molecular-weight alcohols may dissolve portions of the polyamide wax within 6900-20X. During high-speed dispersion, maintain temperatures below 60°C, operate at 1000-2000 rpm, and limit mixing time to under 30 minutes. Thixotropy diminishes under high shear forces and prolonged dispersion. Therefore, mixing time should be correspondingly reduced when using high-shear grinding dispersers. The optimal approach is to first prepare a pre-dispersed slurry under controlled shear conditions and within a short timeframe.

Procedure: 1. Add all materials to the reactor.
2. Pre-disperse at 1000-1500 rpm for 2-3 minutes until uniform.
3. Dispersion at 2000-3000 rpm for 10-30 minutes, maintaining temperature below 40°C. To prevent air entrapment, periodically move the stirring blades up and down.
Precautions:
During baking and drying, poor recoating performance may occur, particularly with alkyd-amine baked enamels. Special attention is required.
VI. Product Packaging: 16 kg/drum
