Raw rubber is a natural polymer primarily composed of polyisoprene, with the molecular formula (C₅H₈)_n. It contains 91%–94% rubber hydrocarbons (polyisoprene), with the remainder comprising non-rubber substances such as proteins, fatty acids, ash, and sugars.
Standard rubber is graded based on physicochemical properties including mechanical impurities, plasticity retention rate, initial plasticity index, nitrogen content, ash-free extract content, ash content, and color index.
