Product Features:
1. High-Efficiency Adhesion Enhancement
Its unique molecular structure provides strong adhesion to various polar and non-polar substrates. It rapidly interacts with surface molecules to form robust bonding, significantly enhancing the adhesion performance of adhesives, inks, and coatings. This meets stringent bonding strength requirements across diverse industries.
2. Superior Thermal Stability
Its elevated softening point (140–150°C) prevents softening, flow, or decomposition during hot-melt processing and high-temperature applications. It maintains excellent physical properties and bonding performance, ensuring product stability under conditions like high-temperature transportation and storage.
3. Excellent Compatibility
It exhibits outstanding compatibility with various polymer materials including EVA, SBS, SIS, acrylic resins, and natural rubber. This allows flexible formulation design where adjusting addition ratios precisely controls product properties such as tackiness, hardness, and flexibility to meet diverse application needs.
4. Strong Processing Adaptability
Low melt viscosity and suitable fluidity facilitate easy handling in hot-melt extrusion, solution coating, and compounding processes. It mixes rapidly and uniformly with other raw materials, enhancing production efficiency while reducing processing energy consumption and costs.
5. Broad Applicability
Suitable for multiple industries including packaging, printing, rubber, and coatings. It delivers excellent tackifying effects on diverse substrates such as paper, plastic, metal, wood, and rubber, making it an ideal multifunctional additive in industrial production.
IV. Product Applications:
1. Adhesive Industry
Hot-melt adhesives: Adding 15%-30% tackifying resin 145# to EVA-based or polyolefin-based hot-melt adhesives significantly enhances initial tack and sustained adhesion to substrates like paper, plastics (e.g., PE, PP), and fabrics. It reduces melt viscosity, enabling rapid bonding with durable, long-lasting adhesion in packaging, bookbinding, furniture edge banding, and similar applications.
Pressure-Sensitive Adhesives: When incorporated at 10%-25% into acrylic or rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive formulations, it enhances the adhesion of products like tapes and self-adhesive labels to diverse surfaces. This ensures stable tack at ambient temperatures and across varying humidity conditions in applications such as electronics, electrical components, and automotive interior part fixation.
Solvent-Based Adhesives: Incorporating 5%-20% Tackifier Resin 145# into chloroprene or SBS adhesives improves bonding strength to metals, wood, leather, and similar materials. Widely used in footwear manufacturing and luggage bonding.
2. Ink Industry
Adding 8%-18% tackifying resin 145# to offset and gravure ink formulations enhances ink viscosity and transferability. This ensures uniform ink adhesion to substrates like paper and plastic films during printing, guaranteeing sharp patterns and vibrant colors. It is particularly suitable for high-quality printing applications such as food packaging and tobacco/alcohol labels.
3. Coatings Industry
When incorporated into alkyd resin or acrylic resin coating systems at 5%–15%, this resin enhances substrate adhesion, improves film hardness and gloss, and boosts water resistance and weatherability. It is suitable for wood coatings, metal anti-corrosion coatings, and similar applications.
4. Rubber Processing Industry
During the compounding of natural rubber or synthetic rubbers (e.g., styrene-butadiene rubber, polybutadiene rubber), adding 2%–8% of Tackifying Resin 145# serves as a tackifier and plasticizer. It improves compatibility between rubber and fillers, enhancing the adhesion, abrasion resistance, and tear resistance of rubber products such as tires, rubber hoses, and sealing strips.
Instructions for Use:
1. Dissolution and Melting Methods
Solvent Dissolution: Select organic solvents such as toluene, xylene, or ethyl acetate. Slowly add Tackifying Resin 145# to the solvent according to the formulation ratio. Stir at room temperature (60–120 rpm). If dissolution is slow, moderately increase temperature to 40–60°C. Avoid excessive heat (not exceeding 80°C) to prevent resin oxidation or accelerated solvent evaporation. Ensure thorough mixing throughout dissolution to achieve a clear, transparent solution.
Hot-melt processing: In hot-melt adhesive or rubber compounding processes, heat the base resin or rubber to its melting point (e.g., heat EVA hot-melt adhesive to 160–180°C). Then add Tackifying Resin 145# and stir thoroughly for 15–25 minutes to ensure complete melting and uniform dispersion.
2. Key Formulation Addition Guidelines
Adhesive Formulations: Gradually incorporate Tackifier Resin 145# into the base adhesive formulation based on required bond strength and performance. Add in small batches to ensure thorough mixing. After addition, retest adhesive parameters such as viscosity, open time, and curing speed, then fine-tune the dosage based on results.
Ink and Coating Formulations: Add the tackifying resin solution or molten resin prior to the grinding or dispersion stage in ink/coating production. Perform high-speed dispersion (1200–2500 rpm, 25–40 minutes) alongside other pigments, fillers, and additives to ensure uniform resin coating of pigment particles and form a stable system.
VI. Packaging and Storage:
25 kg per bag. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse away from fire sources, heat sources, and strong oxidizing agents. Maintain storage temperature between 5–35°C and avoid direct sunlight.
